10-man Bantams end losing run

Gareth Evans scored the all-important goal four minutes before half-time, side-footing the ball into the empty net after Michael Flynn's 18-yard shot had rebounded into his path off the post. Bradford, who enjoyed most of the play in the first half, continued to dominate after the interval and twice had the ball in the net through Scott Neilson and James Hanson, but both were ruled offside. Hanson then had the chance to make the game safe for Bradford, only to see Hereford goalkeeper Adam Bartlett brilliantly turn his point-blank header over the crossbar. Home goalkeeper Simon Eastwood did well to save at the feet of Craig King before Bradford were forced to endure a nervous last nine minutes when midfielder Lee Bullock was sent off for a second bookable offence. Hereford almost made their advantage count five minutes from the end when Eastwood failed to gather Mark Marshall's cross, but left-back Luke O'Brien cleared the danger.
