Caretaker boss Joe Roach has told the Bournemouth board he does not want the manager's job on a permanent basis.
Roach and goalkeeping coach Stuart Murdoch have been in charge of first-team affairs at Dean Court since Sean O'Driscoll moved to Doncaster Rovers three weeks ago, but Roach is looking forward to returning to his normal role in the club's youth set-up.
"I was offered an interview, which I've declined," he said.
"I was asked to do a job temporarily which I've done to the best of my ability. I know where my strengths are and where my focus is.
"I'll stay with the first team until a new manager is appointed and, like everyone else, I'm excited about the new appointment."
