Moss targets Cherries return

Former Southampton keeper Neil Moss has said that he is willing to take a big pay cut in order to return to Nationwide Division Three promotion-chasers Bournemouth.

The 27-year-old keeper, who was released by the Saints last week, stared his career at Dean Court and played 22 League games for the Cherries in the mid-1990s.

Moss also enjoyed a three-month loan spell with the club earlier this season.

"I'm unemployed at the moment and I'd like to get things sorted out as quickly as possible," he told the Bournemouth Echo.

"I had a couple of flattering offers as soon as I was out of contract but my number one choice is to come to Bournemouth.

"There's been a few good clubs who've shown an interest but they've been talking about things until the end of the season. They said come along and play a few games and see how you get on, which I don't mind doing.

"But obviously I'm looking for a long-term solution and hopefully Bournemouth can offer that.

"I think everyone around here knows that I love the place and thoroughly enjoyed my time here on loan. I know I've got to take a big pay cut to come here but it's something that I'm willing to do."
