Moss hoping to play on

Bournemouth goalkeeper Neil Moss doesn't intend to let his dislocated finger prevent him from playing in any matches.

The former Southampton star sustained the injury in training before the Cherries' 2-1 defeat by Peterborough United, but played in that game and hopes to be given the chance to face Stockport County on Saturday.

"The doctor said I would have to be careful for a couple of weeks," Moss told the Daily Echo.

"There's a plate in there and if you keep weakening it then you could be liable for it to easily dislocate in the future, and, at 28, I don't want to have a finger that keeps popping in and out.

"In terms of games, as long as the manager is happy with me not doing 100 per cent of the training, then if he leaves it up to me again I'm going to play all the games I possibly can.

"I can't not train at all and I've got to do something this week, but there's no reason why I shouldn't be fit for Saturday and I'm looking forward to going up there and righting the wrong result we got against Peterborough."
