Bournemouth striker Steve Fletcher has ended his 15-year association with the club by penning a two-year deal with Chesterfield.
The 34-year-old made almost 500 League appearances for the Cherries following his £30,000 transfer from Hartlepool United in July 1992, scoring 88 times.
"From the minute I first spoke to manager Lee Richardson, he's been so enthusiastic to sign me that I really didn't have a choice, despite several other options," Fletcher told Chesterfield's official website.
"I'm delighted to sign for Chesterfield and am looking forward to helping the team win promotion."
Fletcher is the Spireites' fourth new signing of the summer, following the captures of Gregor Robertson, Jack Lester and Kevin Gray.
