Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond is looking forward to working with Matthew Connolly after signing the young Arsenal defender on loan.
The 19-year-old, who will remain at Dean Court until January 2, has made one appearance for the Gunners - in this season's Carling Cup victory at West Brom.
Bond told the Cherries' official website: "He's an accomplished defender who reads the game well.
"He's a good build and I'm sure he'll turn out to be a quality player. He knows how to defend and will hopefully improve us in that area.
"I've done some homework on the lad and he has a terrific attitude and he can't wait to get involved with the club.
"That type of player is what we want so hopefully he'll come into the Bournemouth culture and make a huge difference for us."
