Bournemouth boss Sean O'Driscoll admitted he will be without the best left-back in the division after Warren Cummings broke his leg in the 3-0 win at Swindon Town.
The Cherries went down 3-2 at home to Blackpool in midweek and O'Driscoll was left to rue the absence of double fracture victim Cummings.
He told the Daily Echo: "Of course it is a big blow to lose Warren but we have to carry on.
"I anticipate Warren being back in time for the start of next season. They are clean breaks and there are no complications so he should be about ready to return to pre-season training without too many problems.
"But if he is not the best left-back in League One, I would like to see somebody who is better."
