Bournemouth have reportedly entered administration following weeks of uncertainty surrounding the financial future of the club.
The cash-strapped Cherries were hit with a winding-up petition by HM Revenue & Custom earlier this week, while last month chairman Jeff Mostyn lodged a notice of intention to appoint an administrator.
Mostyn was adamant the club was not in administration then, but he is expected to confirm later on Friday that it is no longer the case.
The Cherries, who have amassed debts believed to total around £4million, will be docked ten points and will slip to the foot of the League One table.
The are already currently languishing the relegation zone in 22nd position after a disastrous season.
Business recovery specialists Begbies Traynor have been appointed as the club's administrators.
