Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond still believes the club can pull off a miracle and avoid relegation.
The Cherries are currently 11 points adrift of safety following Saturday's 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town at Dean Court.
Bournemouth were docked ten points for entering administration last month which plunged them into the relegation zone. But with eight games still to go this season, Bond is remaining optimistic over his side's survival chances.
He said: "As long as it's mathematically possible to stay up we'll keep plugging away. I can't affect what happens off the pitch but it's my job to make sure we keep doing the business on the field.
"This victory gives us a little bit of hope going into the final eight games of the season. Our performances have been steadily improving and I can't ask any more from my players.
"It'll be a fantastic achievement if we could somehow get enough points to stay up."
