Bournemouth's administrator Gerald Krasner has confirmed that he has accepted a seven-figure bid for the club from a consortium led by current Cherries board members Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly.

Chairman Mostyn fronts the only bid made to save the struggling League One outfit, who face relegation to the bottom tier of the Football League this season.

A statement on the club's official website confirmed: "Cherries administrator Gerald Krasner has accepted a seven-figure bid to buy AFC Bournemouth.

"The bid was the only one to be formally submitted to the joint administrators and comprises a consortium led by Jeff Mostyn, Steve Sly and businessman Mark Jackson.

"As well as providing extra funds on top of their bid to keep the club afloat throughout March, Mostyn and Sly have also agreed to waive any claim on the CVA, effectively writing off their loans to the club.

"Mr Krasner will now prepare a letter to be sent out to creditors detailing exit strategy proposals and a meeting to vote on these is provisionally set for Monday April 7."
