PFA Fans' Player of the Month: December Championship contenders - Last chance to vote

Bournemouth continue to surprise and delight in the Skybet Championship, and arguably the pick of the Cherries in the last month has been Harry Arter.

The Bournemouth midfielder celebrated his 25th birthday in style with his fifth goal in as many league games as Eddie Howe’s men took a four point lead at the top of the table.

Hot on the heels of the men from the south coast are Ipswich who are being inspired by the division’s joint leading scorer Daryl Murphy.

The Town striker took his tally for the season to 16 with a brace in the 4-2 win at Brentford on Boxing Day – his first coming after a record breaking NINETEEN seconds!

Sam Saunders was also on target twice for the Bees in the same game and has been instrumental in the West London club’s unlikely push for promotion under Mark Warburton.

Brentford, however, have lost two on the bounce and on their last outing went down 2-1 at Wolves who are on the climb again after a frustrating run.

Nouha Dicko scored for the second game in succession and has put himself in the frame for the fans’ player of the month award, along with teammate and top keeper Carl Ikeme.

Grant Leadbitter has impressed all season for promotion-chasing Middlesbrough whilst Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn) and Andre Gray (Brentford) also have many admirers.

Derby pair Chris Martin, who has 16 goals to his name this season, and Johnny Russell continue to push the Rams’ back towards top spot in the Championship….but who will get your vote?
