Boston United manager Steve Evans has played down speculation linking him with the vacant managerial hot-seat at Chester City.
Evans presided over the Pilgrims' relegation to the Conference, but has been linked with Chester due to his relationship with Blues chairman Stephen Vaughan.
Vaughan dispensed with the services of former manager Mark Wright last month after revealing his disappointment with the club's mid-table finish this term.
"I have a contract at Boston United and I will not be applying for the manager's job at Chester City or indeed a job anywhere, because I have a big job here," said Evans.
"I have a superb relationship with City chairman Stephen Vaughan and I have the greatest respect for the man.
"Who knows, we might work together in the future, but my family is settled and just as importantly, I have a big job on my hands and that is taking Boston back into the Football League at the first attempt."
