Marin reveals Real desire

Rising Borussia Monchengladbach star Marko Marin has admitted that he would like to try his hand in Spain in the future, with Real Madrid his preferred destination.

The 19-year-old midfielder has already broken into the Germany national team set-up and is widely tipped to be a major player for his country at the 2010 World Cup finals.

Marin told the German press: "I want to play for Real Madrid in the future.

"The truth is that I like them, but I cannot deny that Barcelona are the team playing the best football at the moment.

"My dream is to one day play in the Spanish league because it is my favourite."

Marin made his debut for Germany in May 2008 against Belarus and has won five caps to date, having scored his first goal in the 2-0 friendly win over Belgium in August.
