BORRUSSIA CONTINUE TO SUPRISE EVERYONE
Wednesday Nov 09 2005 00:00
Borussia Monchengladbach have been the surprise package of the season so far with Horst Koppel taking the Foals up to the heady heights of fifth in the table after ten games at the helm, uncharted waters for a side used to battle against relegation most of the time. Nevertheless, Gladbach have got to where they are by scoring goals and entertaining the fans with Werder Bremen just one of the sides on the receiving end of a rejuvenated Borussia side. On Saturday, they travel to Dortmund looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games on the bounce and assume a lofty position in the top five, although the weaknesses in Koppels side were revealed in a 3-0 defeat to Berlin in the German Cup on Wednesday.
