Subotic shocked by fan behaviour

Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic has spoke of his terror after the crowd trouble during Serbia's European Championship qualification clash in Italy.

The Serbian fans were criticised for their behaviour in Genoa as the game was abandoned and Subotic was clearly unsettled by the riots.

"I have never witnessed such events before," he said.

"You just do not know if someone is in possession of a knife or any other weapon.

"Will violence now be directed towards the players? How far will someone go? Need I fear for my life?

"There is a feeling of insecurity that torments you. I like to play football but not at any cost.

"It just cannot go on like this. We were lucky. I never thought I would go through such an experience."
