New Dortmund deal for Jakub

Borussia Dortmund have handed Jakub Blaszczykowski a two-year contract extension.

The Poland winger joined Dortmund from Polish outfit Wisla Krakow in July 2007 and is now under contract at the Westfalenstadion until summer 2013.

"We were able to convince him to accept our offer," revealed sporting director Michael Zorc.

"We used the last couple of weeks, when things quieted down a bit, to bring negotiations to a successful conclusion."

The 23-year-old wideman added: "I like the pace of the game and the system head coach Juergen Klopp plays."
