Dortmund secure Barrios coup

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Argentinian striker Lucas Barrios for a fee of around £4million from Chilean side Colo Colo.

The 24-year-old has penned a four-year contract with the Bundesliga outfit, with coach Jurgen Klopp excited by his latest recruit.

He told the club's official website: "We've been interested in him for quite a while.

"We approached him very early and have observed him for a very long time. We beat one or two famous clubs to sign him.

"He's strong, has a physical presence with his height, is aggressive, has great shooting technique. Lucas has proven his quality in the Copa Libertadores.

"He's joining us from the middle of an ongoing season, but here he will have time to find his bearings. We are in no hurry at all."
