Dortmund bring in Bender

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of highly-rated 1860 Munich midfielder Sven Bender.

The 20-year-old has signed a four-year contract to head to the Bundesliga, having made his name in the German second division.

Dortmund sporting director, Michael Zorc, told the club's official website: "We are pleased with the signing of Sven Bender who still has a lot of potential to improve."

Antonio Rukavina has moved in the opposite direction to Bender, having been on loan at 1860 in recent months, while Dortmund have also allowed defender Markus Brzenska to join relegated Energie Cottbus.

Hannover 96 have raided Bayer Leverkusen for the second time this summer to land Constant Djakpa on a long-term loan.

The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international defender joins Hannover on a two-year loan, following Karim Haggui in making the move from the BayArena.

Djakpa only moved to Germany a year ago, but found first-team opportunities limited with Leverkusen and has been allowed to move on for the foreseeable future.

Hannover's sporting director, Jorg Schmadtke, said: "Constant Djakpa is a technically-gifted left-sided defender who will be a useful addition to our back four."
