Man United? Madrid? Barca? Which team has the best support?

After a huge night of football from all around Europe you can find out which club has the "Best Fans" or more formally the highest average attendance and which country has the most teams in the top 20.

Barcelona, Mancheter United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are the biggest names in Europe, and they came 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th but none of them topped the list. That award goes to............ Borrusia Dortmund.

Dortmund took off last season storming to both German League and Cup titles, this season they have managed to top the Champions League "group of death" fighting off Man City, Real Madrid and Ajax.

Is this down to their amazing support?

The 80,521 fans who turn up to cheer on their team every week would certainly agree.

In the top 20 most watched clubs, there is a run away winner in terms of amount of time a nation is represented. The winning nation has twice as many tvites in the list as second place. So without further a do "the countries with the most clubs in the top 20 most attended teams" are:

6: Holland 1

=5: Spain 2
Scotland 2

3: Italy 3

2: England 4

1: Germany 8

So congratulations to all the Germans out there who go out every week to support football teams for around the country. Slightly disappointing for Spain who with all expensive transfers and high wages manage to attract similar amounts of people to their state of the art stadiums as the Scottish leagues can.

Is there anyone whose position in the table surprises you?

Anyone that you're surprised isn't in the list?
