Jurgen Klopp praises team performance after win

After Borussia Dortmund secured their first league win since the start of December, Jurgen Klopp told his team they must continue to believe in their ability.

Dortmund have not won a league game since beating Hoffenheim in early December.

Yesterday’s 3-0 win over Freiburg with goals from Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, still keeps the club in the relegation battle, but takes the pressure off their manager.

When asked about yesterday’s result, manager Jürgen Klopp told Dortmund’s website: “I try not to dwell too much on victories. I told the team not to be relieved but to enjoy the win.”

Klopp added: “Just because we won today doesn't mean we will win the next four games. The team should take from this game that things can go well if they hang in there and believe in themselves.”

Dortmund take on Mainz on Friday, with the team hoping to lift themselves out of the relegation zone.
