Borussia Dortmund's Germany star Mario Goetze is set to miss Saturday's Bundesliga showdown against Bayern Munich and faces a race against time to be fit for the Champions League final after tearing his left hamstring early in the semi-final at Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who will join Bayern in July, pulled up with the injury after just 14 minutes of Dortmund's 2-0 defeat at Real on Tuesday as Borussia reached the European final at Wembley on May 25 having won the semi-final 4-3 on aggregate.

Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Goetze has torn the ligament and is set to miss Saturday's league match against his future club, who have already been confirmed as this season's Bundesliga champions with Dortmund second in the table.

"It is going to be close for him for all the games we have left," said Klopp with Dortmund facing Munich, Wolfsburg and then Hoffenheim in the league before the Champions League final on May 25.
