Borussia Dortmund's Paraguayan striker Lucas Barrios has signed a four-year deal with Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, the German side announced on Wednesday.

Barrios will leave the German champions, the club he joined in 2009, after this weekend's final game of the 2011-2012 season.

Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc paid tribute to the 27-year-old forward, saying: "Lucas Barrios has won two league titles with us and scored 39 goals in 82 Bundesliga matches."

He was Dortmund's top goalscorer in his first two seasons but ceded his starting place this campaign to Robert Lewandowski after a lengthy lay off due to injury.

The Argentine-born Barrios scored a hat-trick last weekend in the 5-2 win at Kaiserslautern and is set to make his final appearance in Germany on Saturday against Freiburg.
