Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund are set to announce record sales of more than 250 million euros ($334 million) in Thursday's annual financial report, according to a media article.

German magazine Kicker claim Dortmund will announce both record sales and net profit returns for the fiscal year.

Last year, Dortmund posted sales of 215.2 million euros and a net profit of 34.3 million.

The biggest single source of revenue came from Dortmund reaching May's Champions League final, when they lost 2-1 to Bayern Munich at Wembley, which brought in 54 million euros.

In addition, Borussia received 12 million euros for their six home games in the competition.

As the Bundesliga's only publicly traded club on the German stock market, the Borussia Dortmund company paid shareholders a dividend for the first time last year of six cents per share.
