Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund are reported to be interested in Ji Dong-Won, Sunderland's South Korea striker, and attacking midfielder Henrich Mchitarjan, of Shakhtar Donetsk, as they bid to strengthen their squad.

The 22-year-old Ji spent the last six months on loan at Bundesliga side Augsburg from Premier League side Sunderland, scoring five goals in 17 German league appearances and made a good impression.

He is under contract at Sunderland until 2014 and according to German magazine Kicker, Dortmund have already made an offer for the South Korean international who has a market value of three million euros ($3.9 million, £2.5 million).

Dortmund are also reported to have tabled a bid of 23 million euros for the 24-year-old Mchitarjan, who hit 25 goals in 29 league matches for the Ukraine champions but English Premier League side Liverpool are also interested.

"Yes, it's true that Dortmund have contacted us because of the player. They've offered 23 million," Donetsk's chief executive Sergei Palkin confirmed to German daily Bild.
