Borussia Dortmund booked their place in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal with a 2-0 win at Augsburg on Wednesday evening.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the goals for last season's beaten finalists, who remain on course for a second successive trip to Berlin's Olympiastadion.

Hertha Berlin are also still in the hunt for home advantage in the DFB-Pokal final after they saw off second-division Nurnberg 2-0 on Wednesday, while Bochum won the battle of two 2. Bundesliga clubs by beating 1860 Munich by the same scoreline.

Stuttgart had a little more difficulty in getting past 2. Bundesliga opponents Eintracht Braunschweig, with extra-time needed to take the Swabians through.

They missed a penalty in normal time and looked to be heading for a penalty shoot-out until Toni Sunjic headed in a 118th-minute winner to take Jurgen Kramny's men through to the last eight with a 3-2 win.

They go into the weekend's draw together with Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen and Heidenheim, who were all successful on Tuesday night.
