Bolton Wanderers striker Nicolas Anelka is a doubt for Saturday's trip to former club Arsenal after picking up a knock while away on international duty.
The 28-year-old opened the scoring during France's 6-0 rout of the Faroe Islands on Saturday before being replaced at half-time.
Anelka, who has netted six times for struggling Wanderers already this season, has been ruled out Les Blues' Euro 2008 qualifier against Lithuania on Wednesday.
He is also a doubt for the trip to the Emirates Stadium when the Premier League resumes on Saturday.
"(Anelka) will be assessed by Wanderers' medical officials upon his return to the club's training ground," confirmed a Bolton statement.
Anelka made almost 100 appearances during two-and-a-half years with the Gunners before leaving for Real Madrid in a £23million transfer.
