Bolton Wanderers have reportedly entered the race to sign unsettled Schalke striker Soren Larsen.
The 26-year-old Denmark international has revealed his intention to quit the Bundesliga club this summer after making only a handful of first-team appearances last season.
Larsen has spent three frustrating seasons with the Gelsenkirchen club following a 2005 transfer from Djurgardens and is determined to move on this summer.
Bolton are believed to be on the lookout for new strikers after narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League last season.
"It would be best for all concerned if I leave," admitted Larsen, who has also been linked with moves to Rangers and Panathinaikos.
"I am not getting what I expect and the club is not getting it either.
"I don't expect to be with Schalke at the start of pre-season training on July 1."
Trotters boss Gary Megson completed his first signing of the summer on Monday after snapping up midfielder Fabrice Muamba from Birmingham City in a £5million deal.
