Miguel Veloso will not be joining Bolton Wanderers, according to the agent of the Portugal midfielder.
Veloso, 23, has been linked with a move to the Premier League for two years following his impressive performances in the Champions League for Sporting Lisbon.
Earlier in the week, Wanderers were reported to be on the verge of landing the Portugal international.
However, agent Paulo Barbosa claims that his client will not be playing at the Reebok Stadium next season.
Veloso has also been linked with Manchester City, Tottenham and Portsmouth in the past.
Asked whether his client was set to join Bolton, Barbosa claimed: "No, no it is not true.
"It is true they were interested in January but Sporting refused an offer for 12million euros.
"We will see (where his futures lies) soon."
