Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is considering increasing his initial £3million offer for West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison.
The Trotters were knocked back in their bid to land the 22-year-old Scotland international after tabling an offer earlier in the week.
But Megson has not given up hope of persuading the Baggies to part company with the former Middlesbrough youngster.
Morrison, who arrived at The Hawthorns in a £1.5million deal in August 2007, has made over 65 appearances for the Baggies.
"Whether we will make a renewed bid remains to be seen as there are other players we are interested in," revealed Megson.
Meanwhile, out-of-favour striker Heidar Helguson has left the Reebok Stadium after making his loan move to QPR into a permanent transfer.
