Bolton Wanderers have sealed the £8million club record signing of French striker Nicolas Anelka from Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The 27-year-old, who has previously played in England with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, has signed a four-year contract with the Trotters.
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce told the club's official website: "Patience is a virtue and I am pleased to say that all the waiting and hard work we've done behind the scenes has paid off.
"Nicolas is a player with an amazing track record in the Premiership, he was born to score goals.
"His talent and experience will be a valuable asset for us."
Anelka left Manchester City in January 2005 to move to Turkey, but he failed to settle with Fener and was keen to make a return to the Premiership.
