Trotters say no to Ilic

Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has pulled the plug on a transfer move for defender Branko Ilic.
The Slovenia international was on trial at the Reebok Stadium and the player's agent had claimed a permanent move was close to being agreed.
But Allardyce has decided against offering the 23-year-old a contract.
"We may take another look at him later, but for the moment I don't think he will have much of an impact on the first team," he told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, the Trotters chief has played down talk of a number of new signings when the transfer window opens in January.
"There's going to be speculation about many players between now and the end of January. That's why this is the time of year I particularly detest," he said.
"We've got important games in the FA Cup and the Premier League while we have all these other distractions.
"But that's something we've learned to cope with over the last few years."
