Bolton Wanderers strikerKevin Davies has revealed his season could be over after suffering a broken hand.
The muscular forward will miss the Trotters' next two league matches through suspension after picking up his tenth booking of the season in last weekend's 1-0 win over West ham United.
However, Davies could also be ruled out of the club's battle for survival after an initial finger problem proved to be more serious than first thought.
Davies thought he had suffered a dislocated finger in the game at the Reebok Stadium, but scans have shown a hand fractured in three different places.
He is now set to miss the remaining two league games against Sunderland Chelsea in what would be a massive blow for Bolton's survival chances.
"I've got three fractures and I had an operation on Tuesday," he revealed.
"Whether I've got a chance of getting back for the last two games is doubtful, but hopefully it heals quickly.
"I'll have it rescanned before we play Sunderland at home and maybe I could play with a cast on."
