Bolton Wanderers have denied any interest in signing wantaway Manchester City midfielder Gelson Fernandes.
The 22-year-old Switzerland international has struggled to gain a regular starting spot in his two seasons with the Citizens and is likely to move on with the Eastlands club set for a major recruitment drive.
Fernandes' agent, Marcel Schmid, said: "City have spent an awful lot of money on players who are very similar to him.
"They will play them because they cost a lot of money, not because they are better than him.
"He doesn't want to be playing for ten or 12 minutes every time. He wants to be playing for 90 minutes, because he is that type of player."
