Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Shittu has vowed to try and fight his way back into the starting eleven with the Totters in the coming weeks.
The 28-year-old Nigeria international has made only seven appearances for Bolton since his arrival from Watford last summer and was recently linked with a loan switch to Birmingham City.
However, Shittu is determined to battle his way back into boss Gary Megson's plans.
He told the Bolton News: "I am not happy not playing because I am here to play.
"I came here to play football and that is why I am still working hard every day in training to make sure I get a chance to play, because that was the plan when I came here. My plan is still the same.
"I believe I have done well each time I have been given a chance.
"I have a lot of respect for this football club, so I don't want to say anything right now.
"The important thing is that I am here now and I believe I am doing my best to get into the team."
