Shittu released by Bolton

Bolton have released Danny Shittu from his contract at the Reebok Stadium.
The defender, who turns 30 on Thursday, joined Bolton from Watford in August 2008 and made 12 appearances in his first season.
However, he did not play for the first team at all last term and Bolton confirmed on Wednesday they have reached an agreement with the Nigerian to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
