Shittu makes Wanderers departure

Powerful defender Danny Shittu has left Bolton with immediate effect after failing to make an impact during his stay at the Reebok Stadium. The Nigerian international joined the Trotters from Watford in August 2008 and made 12 appearances during his stay at the Reebok. The club have now reached an agreement with Shittu to release him from his current contract. The defender is now available on a free transfer and will hope to get hooked up with a new club as soon as possible.
