Quiet Bolton concern Megson

Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson has revealed his concern at the comparative lack of transfer activity at the Reebok Stadium.

Megson has added just two players - midfielder Sean Davis and full-back Paul Robinson - to his squad this summer and fears missing out on some key signings as the transfer market steps up a gear.

"We are really close to getting three transfers sorted and we need them because this squad is nowhere near strong enough," he told the Bolton News.

"(Chairman) Phil Gartside has got a list of players who I feel would strengthen us and there are also the names of players who we would allow to leave the club, but we have got to get a lot busier if that is to happen.

"This is going to be a vitally important transfer window for us if we intend to move forward and ideally I'd like to be a bit further down the road than we are right now."
