    Nolan to pen new contract

    12 Feb 2007 - 09:19:58

Bolton's talismanic midfielder Kevin Nolan has revealed that he is in talks to extend his contract at the Reebok Stadium.

The 24-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the 2008-09 campaign but he is close to agreeing a deal that will extend his stay at the club by a further two years.

He told the club's official website: "I'm really enjoying myself at the football club and I'll hopefully sign a new contract in a couple of weeks."

Nolan has spent his entire career with Bolton and has made 235 league appearances since making his debut almost seven years ago.

Meanwhile, boss Sam Allardyce was quick to praise goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen after the Finnish shot-stopper earned Bolton a vital 2-1 victory against Fulham.

He made a last-gasp wonder-save to deny Tomasz Radzinski an equaliser and Allardyce enthused: "He earned his corn with that one save. That's why we've got the best goalkeeper in the Premiership.

"It was a world-class save, a match-winning save and one that made the difference between a vital win and only picking up a disappointing point."
