Bolton Wanderers midfielder Kevin Nolan has confirmed that he is on the verge of signing a new four-year contract with the club.
The Trotters captain will pen a deal that will keep him at the Reebok Stadium until the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
Nolan told the club's official website: "It's virtually agreed and will all be done very soon. After this season, I'll be here for another four years and I'm absolutely delighted with that.
"Ever since I've been at Bolton, I've never thought that I would have to leave to get international recognition.
"Even though we are not a big city club, we have done fantastically well over the last four or five years.
"We are continuing to grow and getting better and better and I am glad that I will be a part of it."
The one-club 24-year-old has already made 236 League appearances for Sam Allardyce's side.
