Kevin Nolan has played down talk of a move to
Newcastle United by insisting he is happy at
Bolton Wanderers.
Ex-Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has been linked with a move for his former captain after leaving the Reebok Stadium for the Magpies in April.
However, Nolan claims he has no intention of following Allardyce to Tyneside.
"I'm really happy at the club," he told the Manchester Evening News.
The 24-year-old recently signed a new long-term contract which ties him to Bolton until summer 2010.
Nolan has made 284 appearances for the Trotters since breaking into the first team during the 2000-01 campaign.
Meanwhile, team-mate El Hadji Diouf has also been linked with a move to St James' Park.
The Senegal international has also been mentioned as a possible summer target for Atletico Madrid and Benfica.
