Megson wants fans onside

Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson has vowed to win the club's fans over after being confirmed as Sammy Lee's replacement in the Reebok Stadium hot-seat.
Megson's appointment has been greeted with dismay by many Trotters fans who are unaccustomed to their side struggling near the foot of the table.
Megson, who left Leicester City after only six weeks in charge at the Walkers Stadium, said: "All I can do is get together with the players and get some results to change that (fan reaction).
"You don't turn up everywhere and get the red carpet laid out for you.
"In terms of the supporters, they are the bedrock of the football club. We need them onside.
"I'll give it everything to get things back on track, but I have to accept that maybe I'm not their number one choice.
"These opportunities don't come along very often and it would have been nice for everyone if I'd been at Leicester two or three years, improved everything and left the club in the Premier League and then this job came along.
"But you can't dictate when these things come along."
