Megson thanks Bolton fans

Newly-installed manager Gary Megson praised the Bolton Wanderers fans who watched Sunday's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa despite it being the club's lowest ever Premier League attendance.
Just 18,413 fans turned up to watch Megson's first game in charge and saw Luke Moore cancel out Nicolas Anelka's first-half opener at the Reebok Stadium.
However, Megson hailed the influence of the supporters who backed his side in the opening 45 minutes of his controversial tenure.
"The fans were fantastic - we couldn't have played like we did in the first half without that quality of support," said Megson, who joined the Trotters following a short stay with Championship club Leicester City.
"I was happy with the effort and we have the players to get us out of trouble.
"While we were not as solid in the second half as we were in the first, it gives us a bit of optimism.
"But there is not going to be a revolution here, just evolution.
"It would be a mistake on my part to change too much too quickly."
