Megson seeks positive finish
04 May 2009 - 10:25:13
Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson wants to see his side finish the season on a positive note after they all but banished the fear of relegation.
The Trotters are eight points clear of the drop zone following a goalless draw with Wigan Athletic, during which Megson admitted that his side had struggled for top form.
He commented: "I think that if you look at the first half you would say that one point is probably a good point, because I thought we were probably a bit fortunate to go in all square.
"But I thought that in the second half we were on top and looking at it just from the second 45 minutes, we are a little disappointed that we have not won.
"Nil-nil is probably a fair result to be honest.
"We now want to finish the season well and I hope we can get 90 minutes against Sunderland, Hull City and Manchester City like we did in the second half today.
"We finished with a flourish last year and I would like us to do the same this time, even though we are not in the same position this time round."
