Megson gives up on Bodde
05 Jul 2009 - 15:29:11
Bolton Wanderers are not expected to prolong their interest in Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde after having a second bid for the midfielder rejected.
The Championship side have reportedly turned down a £3.5million offer from Trotters boss Gary Megson for the Dutch midfielder and Bolton are not prepared to increase their bid.
It is believed that Swans chairman Huw Jenkins is still holding out for £5million for the highly-rated 27-year-old who has not played a competitive game since November when he was sidelined with a serious knee injury.
It is now believed that Bodde will remain at the Liberty Stadium until January 2010 to prove his fitness.
Last month Bolton had an offer of £2.5million, which was thought to have included payments related to appearances, rejected by the Swans.
Meanwhile, Mesgson remains confident he will be able to tie up the £750,000 signing of West Brom's Paul Robinson next week.
