Megson fears for injured Davis
26 Nov 2009 - 12:26:21
Bolton Wanderers are facing up to the prospect of being without injured midfielder Sean Davis for the remainder of the season.
The 30-year-old has been sidelined since suffering cartilage damage to his right knee during the 3-2 home defeat to Liverpool on August 29.
Davis, who arrived at the Reebok Stadium on a free transfer from Portsmouth in July, picked up the injury just three games into his Trotters career.
"Sean's going to be out for a long spell but whether it will be for the season only time will tell," confirmed manager Gary Megson. "It will be touch and go."
Meanwhile, a defiant Megson has vowed to fight on despite coming under increasing pressure following a fourth successive defeat at home to local rivals Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
"I've kept this club up twice and we're one of the lowest spenders in the division," he added.
"I've been getting sacked every morning. I haven't known what I was doing since I've been here."
