Megson eyes six new players

Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson has set his sights on six more summer signings as he looks to bolster a squad light on numbers.

Megson has landed just one new player in midfielder Sean Davis on a free transfer from Portsmouth since the last season ended.

West Bromwich Albion defender Paul Robinson and midfielder Ferrie Bodde from Swansea City are both interesting the Trotters boss, but they are not the only players on Megson's radar.

"We've brought Sean in and I'd like to get six more players," he said.

"I don't want to be a football club like we were last year when we turned up at the Emirates (Stadium) with only two or three subs.

"It is always difficult because we are looking for players that can improve us from that 13th spot in the table (last season)."
