McCann set for Bolton move

Bolton Wanderers are set to complete the £1million signing of Aston Villa midfielder Gavin McCann.
McCann, 29, will undergo a medical at the Reebok Stadium on Friday and will join the Trotters after Villa boss Martin O'Neill sanctioned a the move for a player who has struggled to hold down a first-team berth since his appointment last summer.
McCann joined Villa from Sunderland in 2003 and was a virtual ever-present under former manager David O'Leary.
However, towards the end of last season the once capped England international fell behind academy graduate Craig Gardner in the midfield pecking order.
McCann still has one year left on his contract and O'Neill had indicated he was willing to offer the Blackpool-born former Everton trainee fresh terms.
But, with O'Neill looking to bolster his squad with the £7million capture of West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker, McCann has been deemed surplus to requirements at Villa Park.
McCann made 119 appearances in his four seasons with the Midlands club.
