Rumours linking Bolton Wanderers winger Lee Chung-Yong with a summer move to Liverpool have been played down by the player's management agency.

The 21-year-old South Korea international has impressed since joining the Trotters at the start of the season, sparking rumours of a move to a bigger club in the summer.

However, a spokesperson for TI Sports commented: "I never received the offer from Liverpool, there was absolutely no contact. Speculation about the future is not helpful.

"The link is in a word, absurd. Liverpool did not have any discussions.

"Next season will be a lot easier, but there is still much to learn in terms of player development.

"Lee wants to be a regular at Bolton next season, this is important for him. It is important that Bolton stay in the Premier League, that is the biggest objective."
