Keeper issues Trotters call

Goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has called on Bolton Wanderers to show greater consistency to keep alive their bid to qualify for the Champions League.

A 1-0 victory at Watford moved the Trotters to within two points of fourth-placed Arsenal, Bolton having failed to win any of their previous four league outings.

Jaaskelainen told the club's official website: "We just have to keep working hard and hopefully that European place will come.

"You never know. If we can play to our best and keep playing that way, we have a chance to push for the Champions League.

"The only thing we are missing is consistency in our performances. Hopefully, we can now kick on and give ourselves at least half a chance to get there."

Manager Sam Allardyce added: "We're going have to go some to achieve it, but there are 12 games left and a lot of points to play for."
