Hunt predicts upturn
27 Nov 2007 - 09:58:34
Bolton Wanderers full-back Nicky Hunt is confident Saturday's shock 1-0 victory against Manchester United will be the result that kick-starts the club's season.
The win lifted Bolton out of the bottom three and up to 15th in the Premier League table.
It also ended an eight-match winless streak in all competitions and was Gary Megson's first victory in charge of the club since succeeding Sammy Lee.
Hunt told the club's official website: "This result has to be a turning point for us.
"We've got off to a good start under the new manager and, hopefully, we can remain unbeaten and keep picking up points right through the Christmas period.
"That's a massive incentive for us going into the new year and a place in the top half of the table is very achievable."
Meanwhile, Megson will be without suspended duo Hunt and Kevin Nolan for Sunday's game against Liverpool after both players picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season in the United win.
